Jobgether is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Saudi Arabia for a remote, high-impact role as part of a large-scale digital transformation. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver analytics-ready datasets.

Key focus areas include building robust ETL/ELT pipelines, leveraging Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and Delta Lake, and applying Python/SQL to transform data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Python experience in data engineering.
• 3+ years with Azure data services such as Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse.
• 3+ years using Azure Databricks and Delta Lake.
• 4+ years with Git/version control.
• 1+ year using AI tools for code generation or data tasks.
• Strong fundamentals in ETL/ELT, data integration, and data pipeline development.
• Advanced SQL development and data transformation skills.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions for large-scale digital transformation.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines integrating diverse data sources into analytics-ready datasets.
• Develop cloud-native data solutions using Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Data Lake Gen2).
• Use Python and SQL for data transformations, workflows, and integrations.
• Design data models and architectures focusing on scalability, reliability, and quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Apply Git version control and engineering best practices for maintainable code.
• Leverage AI-powered tools for code generation, analysis, automation, and optimization.
• Troubleshoot issues and continuously optimize pipeline performance and reliability.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly across business and technical teams.
