Job summary

Mozn is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve scalable cloud platforms on GCP with GKE at their core. You will create reusable blueprints, automate workflows, and manage Kubernetes lifecycle while prioritizing security and cost efficiency.

You will implement GitOps pipelines, policy-as-code, and automation tooling in Python/Bash/Go, collaborating with teams to improve onboarding and platform adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of cloud, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep hands-on experience in GCP and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Expertise with IaC tools: Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane.
• Experience with GitOps (Argo CD/Flux) and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with policy-as-code tools: OPA, Gatekeeper, Kyverno.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, gateways, Linux, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to own complex technical initiatives and deliver results.
• Experience building reusable infrastructure modules or platform blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate cloud-native platforms on GCP with GKE at core.
• Build reusable platform blueprints and infrastructure modules for self-service provisioning.
• Manage Kubernetes cluster lifecycle, upgrades, scaling, performance, and resource utilization.
• Apply IaC and platform engineering practices to improve reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Build GitHub Actions workflows and GitOps pipelines using Argo CD or Flux.
• Implement policy-driven deployments with OPA/Gatekeeper and Kyverno.
• Develop automation tooling in Python, Bash, or Go to reduce manual work.
• Design and troubleshoot Kubernetes networking, ingress, and service discovery.
• Work with gateways and service mesh technologies (Istio, NGINX, HAProxy).
• Diagnose production issues across cloud infra, Kubernetes, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate to onboard apps and drive platform adoption end-to-end.
• Apply security best practices across IAM and network policies.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities through capacity planning and autoscaling.
