We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. WSP is looking for Senior Civil Engineers to work on the construction of a major roads & highways project in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in similar roads & highways construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams in planning, design, and execution phases of infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and consultants, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance during construction activities, conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with engineering specifications and standards.
• Implement rigorous quality assurance and control measures to uphold the highest standards of construction excellence.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and compliance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, resolving complex engineering issues and optimizing design solutions.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to construction activities, safety hazards, and environmental impacts.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and proactively addressing concerns.
• Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and technical presentations to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering, focusing on construction management.
• Professional engineering license or equivalent certification preferred.
• Extensive knowledge in the design, construction, and management of transportation infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, highways, tunnels, railways, and metros.
• Strong technical expertise in civil engineering principles, practices, and design standards, with proficiency in relevant software tools.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, confident liaising with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget, focusing on quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills would be advantageous.
