Basserah in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the month-end close and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting for a fast-growing, project-driven business. You will manage the general ledger, lead statutory and tax compliance, and strengthen accounting processes and controls.

The role requires strong experience in reconciliations, VAT returns in line with ZATCA, and close collaboration with auditors.

Competenze

• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills including general ledger management, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, MS AX365 preferred, with solid Excel skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional certification (CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in financial accounting and reporting and leading a team.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own the month-end close and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for a fast-growing, project-driven business. You will manage the general ledger, lead statutory and tax compliance, and strengthen accounting processes and controls. We expect our finance team to work using AI tools to close faster, reduce manual work, and improve accuracy.

Job Description

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately coded and recorded.
• Accounts Receivable & Payable: Manage vendor invoicing, verify payment approvals, process accounts payable, and track aging accounts receivable.
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, intercompany balance reconciliations, and subsidiary ledger reviews.
• Compliance & Taxation: Assist in preparation and filing of quarterly/monthly VAT returns in strict compliance with ZATCA regulations and e-invoicing standards.
• Month-End / Year-End Closing: Support execution of smooth month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Reporting: Prepare preliminary balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow reports.
• Audit Support: Provide documentation and analytical support to external and internal auditors.

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills including general ledger management, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, preferred MS AX365, alongside solid Excel skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in financial accounting and reporting and lead team experience.
• Experience in data-driven environments or technology-focused companies with process automation concepts is beneficial.
