Job summary

Eslbar in Saudi Arabia seeks a senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of 2D/3D CAD models and ensure designs meet licensor requirements. You will coordinate with licensors and technical partners, design robust engine components, supervise drawings and parts lists, and mentor junior engineers to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) and/or CAD software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of 2D/3D CAD models and establish design and drawing standards in line with licensor requirements.
• Liaise with the licensor and technical partners to resolve engineering issues and support design development.
• Design structural engine components, ensuring robust and manufacturable solutions.
• Oversee CAD models, engineering drawings, and parts lists to ensure compliance and support timely procurement.
• Provide technical support during customer engagements, including engine selection and Extent of Delivery (EOD) preparation.
• Lead the resolution of major production and quality issues, including Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) and the List of Differences (LOD).
• Identify and implement design improvements to enhance cost efficiency, material utilisation, and production performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the design team.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Minimum of 7 years experience working a European country

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.

Professional Qualifications

• Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) and/or CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) is preferred.

• Proficient in advanced CAD software, mechanical design principles, tolerancing, and design for manufacture.
• Strong knowledge of licensor design standards, IMO regulations, and classification society requirements.
• Sound understanding of materials engineering and material selection.
• Proven project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering systems such as PLM, ERP, and FEA software.
• Effective technical documentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement.
