Job description
JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

“Summary to the general objective of the job”

Shift Leader will be a main responder to stake‑holders' inquires that belong to operating and maintaining the Security Systems within across KAIA terminals. He is the main point of contact representing Vanderlande industries to the other parties, which are involved with the BHS & Security Systems sub‑contractors. He is responsible for carrying out day to day tasks and executing the required activities to maintain and achieve the client KPI’s and drives continues improvement approaches.

KEY ACTIVITIES
  1. Ensure internal & external employees are adhered to HSE rules and regulations and report any deviations.
  2. Leading the sub‑contractor teams.
  3. Supervises the Shift employees by overseeing their work, assessing their performance, enforcing policies and corrective measures, being the point of contact for questions, complaints and concerns, and leads by example.
  4. Facilitate the execution of planned, corrective maintenance activities, lead, and set direction of the sub‑contractors and internal service teams.
  5. Ensures that Sub‑contractors comply with the customer rules, standards, and key values aligned with VI work practices.
  6. Ensures proper levels of supplies (spare parts, consumables) and reports the consumption to the maintenance manager on daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  7. Identifies issues and solves problems that disturb daily operation.
  8. Reports systems performance/KPIs deviations and communicates, providing immediate feedback to the sub‑contractors.
  9. Attends weekly customer meetings & records MOM.
  10. Reviews the subcontractors’ submittals & highlights deviations to propose improvement actions.
  11. Performs random quality audits and provides corrective actions.
