Job description

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Lead who will be responsible for defining, designing, and implementing Master Data Governance solutions across the enterprise. This role requires deep expertise in SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA, and strong leadership capabilities to coordinate both onshore and offshore teams. The MDG Lead will ensure data quality, compliance, and governance standards aligned with business strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and rollout of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions.
• Define and drive MDG strategy, governance processes, data standards, and quality frameworks.
• Manage and guide onshore and offshore technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand master data needs and translate them into MDG functional and technical solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of MDG with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems.
• Oversee data validation, cleansing, harmonization, and migration activities.
• Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution walkthroughs with business and IT teams.
• Develop documentation including functional specifications, design documents, test scripts, and governance policies.
• Monitor and ensure data compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement across all master data domains.
• Provide thought leadership and best practices for MDG architecture, workflows, UI modeling, BRF+, and data replication.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in SAP, with at least 6+ years specific to SAP MDG.
• Strong hands-on expertise in MDG Configuration, Data Models, UI Modeling, Workflow, BRF+, Data Replication, and Rule-Based Workflows.
• Solid experience with SAP S/4HANA and deep understanding of functional processes (any domain such as MM, SD, FI, or PP).
• Proven experience leading large-scale MDG implementations in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills for coordinating onshore/offshore teams.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Quality concepts.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the Banking / Manufacturing / Large Enterprise industries.
• SAP MDG certification is a plus.
• Experience with SAP BTP, Fiori, or MDG on Cloud preferred.
• Prior experience working in the Middle East region is an advantage.
