Job Purpose
Responsible for the strategic administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the SAP S/4 HANA Finance modules (FICO, FM, SAC, BCM) within SOPC. This role leverages deep expertise in finance and technology to drive system configuration, integration, and innovation, ensuring that SAP S/4 HANA effectively supports financial operations, aligns with business objectives, and enhances decision-making. By optimizing financial processes and leading best practices in system deployment and performance, the role plays a pivotal part in achieving operational efficiency and financial compliance.
- Design, architect, and implement scalable finance solutions within SAP S/4 HANA that support and streamline end-to-end financial processes, including financial accounting, controlling, reporting, and treasury management.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture and analyze detailed business requirements, translating them into technical specifications that ensure seamless integrations with other enterprise systems.
- Lead the evaluation and integration of new financial technologies and functionalities to optimize finance-related workflows and processes.
- Provide insights into emerging trends and best practices in finance transformation, driving innovation in system design and architecture.
Solution Architecture
- Design, architect, and implement scalable finance solutions within SAP S/4 HANA that support and streamline end-to-end financial processes, including financial accounting, controlling, reporting, and treasury management.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture and analyze detailed business requirements, translating them into technical specifications that ensure seamless integrations with other enterprise systems.
- Lead the evaluation and integration of new financial technologies and functionalities to optimize finance-related workflows and processes.
- Provide insights into emerging trends and best practices in finance transformation, driving innovation in system design and architecture.
Integration Management
- Advise on integrations between SAP S/4HANA and other SAP and Non-SAP solutions in scope, using SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and BTP Extensions.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to ensure seamless data flow, resolve integration issues, and maintain robust data synchronization and system interoperability.
Application Expertise
- Act as the SAP S/4 HANA Finance subject matter expert, offering deep expertise on financial processes, configurations, and reporting capabilities across various finance modules.
- Lead the design and implementation of customized financial reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support strategic decision-making and financial forecasting.
- Conduct regular assessments of the S/4 HANA Finance module’s performance and compliance with financial regulations.
- Provide expert guidance on S/4 HANA’s capabilities, suggesting improvements, optimizations, and advanced configurations based on business needs and regulatory changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with functional teams across the organization, including supply chain, procurement, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of financial processes into the broader enterprise ecosystem.
- Work closely with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure system interoperability, data flow, and process integration across SAP modules and external systems.
- Serve as the key liaison with external stakeholders, such as auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial standards, audits, and reporting requirements.
- Partner with business leaders and change management teams to drive system adoption, ensuring the finance team can fully leverage S/4 HANA’s capabilities.
Documenting & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation of system configurations, process workflows, customizations, and system enhancements to ensure clear communication, knowledge sharing, and compliance with internal and external audits.
- Develop and maintain detailed reports, including financial reconciliations, compliance reports, and management dashboards, providing actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and audits to assess the success of financial systems implementations and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
User Training and Support
- Develop comprehensive training programs and documentation that empower end-users to fully leverage the capabilities of S/4 HANA Finance, driving user adoption and reducing support requests.
- Conduct hands-on workshops and provide customized support to various user groups, ensuring that the solution is used efficiently to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives.
- Offer proactive end-user support by troubleshooting issues, responding to queries, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives based on user feedback, ensuring a high level of user satisfaction and system performance.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements within SAP S/4 HANA Finance to reduce inefficiencies, enhance automation, and increase accuracy.
- Leverage SAP best practices to streamline financial processes and reduce the manual effort required by the finance team.
