Job summary

emagine is seeking a Senior Manager/Director to lead the design of finance data models and reporting that capture the economics of crude and product trading, including both physical and paper transactions. The role emphasizes IFRS 9, P&L reporting, and linkages to ERP systems.

Responsibilities include defining trading dimensions, MTM considerations, and intercompany/transfer pricing principles. Extensive experience in energy trading finance is required.

Qualifications

• Strong IFRS 9 knowledge related to derivatives and hedge accounting.
• Experience in trading P&L reporting and finance at a trading organization.
• Familiarity with ETRM systems and their link to ERP.
• Experience with intercompany/transfer pricing in trading, refining, and marketing.

Summary:

The primary objective of this Senior Manager / Director role is to ensure that the finance data model and reporting design effectively capture the economics of crude and product trading. The role emphasizes understanding the financial implications of trading activities, including both physical and paper transactions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Capture current trading finance, P&L attribution and reporting practices.


• Define trading-related dimensions: book / desk, strategy, counterparty / trading partner, and revenue type.


• Advise on mark-to-market, derivatives and hedge accounting (IFRS 9) impacts on the GCOA and reporting.


• Define intercompany / transfer pricing principles between trading, refining and marketing.


• Validate segment profitability views.

Key Requirements:

• Senior trading finance, product control or commercial finance role in an energy trading organization.


• Strong IFRS 9 knowledge (derivatives and hedge accounting) and trading P&L reporting.


• Familiarity with ETRM systems (e.g., Endur, Allegro, RightAngle) and their link to ERP.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with trading arms of NOCs or IOCs, including risk reporting (VaR, exposure).
