emagine in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Manager / Director to ensure the finance data model and reporting design accurately capture the economics of crude and product trading, including both physical and paper transactions.

The role focuses on P&L attribution, IFRS 9 impacts, and setting trading dimensions, with responsibility for linking ETRM systems to ERP and driving robust profitability insights.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in finance; 8+ years in energy trading.
• IFRS 9 knowledge (derivatives and hedge accounting) and trading P&L reporting.
• Familiarity with ETRM systems (Endur, Allegro, RightAngle) and ERP linkage.

Summary:

The primary objective of this Senior Manager / Director role is to ensure that the finance data model and reporting design effectively capture the economics of crude and product trading. The role emphasizes understanding the financial implications of trading activities, including both physical and paper transactions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Capture current trading finance, P&L attribution and reporting practices.


• Define trading-related dimensions: book / desk, strategy, counterparty / trading partner, and revenue type.


• Advise on mark-to-market, derivatives and hedge accounting (IFRS 9) impacts on the GCOA and reporting.


• Define intercompany / transfer pricing principles between trading, refining and marketing.


• Validate segment profitability views.

Key Requirements:

• Senior trading finance, product control or commercial finance role in an energy trading organization.


• Strong IFRS 9 knowledge (derivatives and hedge accounting) and trading P&L reporting.


• Familiarity with ETRM systems (e.g., Endur, Allegro, RightAngle) and their link to ERP.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with trading arms of NOCs or IOCs, including risk reporting (VaR, exposure).
