Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager with a proven background in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation for major infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction supervision consultancy environments and be familiar with roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels projects in Saudi Arabia. This role involves close coordination with project, commercial, and technical teams to proactively manage risks and ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Project Risk Management Plan, aligned with client and project requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and categorize project risks and opportunities across technical, financial, contractual, and operational areas.
  • Conduct regular risk workshops with project stakeholders, contractors, and consultants to update the risk register.
  • Evaluate and quantify risks using qualitative and quantitative techniques (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, risk scoring).
  • Recommend and monitor risk mitigation and contingency strategies to reduce impact on project cost, time, and quality.
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc risk reports and dashboards for management and client review.
  • Integrate risk analysis into project controls and decision-making processes.
  • Support claim prevention through early risk detection and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with international risk management standards (e.g., ISO 31000) and client-specific frameworks.
  • Provide guidance and training to project teams on risk awareness and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management, or related field (Master’s or certification preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in infrastructure-related risk management in the GCC or Saudi Arabia.
  • Proven experience with road/highway/bridge/tunnel projects in a consultancy supervision environment.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and risk implications in construction contracts.
  • Professional certifications preferred: PMI – RMP, IRM Cert, ISO 31000, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in risk tools such as Active Risk Manager (ARM), Primavera Risk Analysis, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with government or semi‑government clients (e.g., Ministry of Transport, Aramco, Royal Commission, NEOM).
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with integrated project delivery models (IPD), EPCM, or design-build contracts.
