Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Risk Engineer to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across projects and assets. You will conduct risk analyses (HAZOP/HAZID/FMEA/LOPA/QRA), maintain risk registers, and recommend corrective actions to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years in risk engineering, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with international codes and standards. You will collaborate with project, engineering, operations and HSE teams to ensure compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering in a related discipline.
• 5+ years in risk engineering, process safety, asset integrity, HSE, or related fields.
• Proficient in HAZOP/HAZID, FMEA, LOPA, and QRA methods.
• Familiar with international codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and mitigate risks across projects and assets.
• Conduct risk assessments for facilities, operations, and assets.
• Develop risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Analyze incidents, near-misses and data to identify root causes.
• Support insurers, auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Review compliance with standards and risk policies.
• Provide recommendations to improve asset integrity and process safety.
• Prepare risk assessment reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and safety studies throughout projects.
