Job summary

Barqsystems is hiring a Resident Systems Engineer in Riyadh to drive FortiGate design, deployment, and migration within banking environments. You will implement FortiGate and FortiSandbox solutions to secure network operations and ensure high availability.

The role requires 2+ years of Fortinet experience and relevant certifications. You will collaborate with network, cybersecurity, SOC, and infra teams, delivering secure, scalable firewall architectures and migration plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Network Eng, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 2+ years Fortinet experience.
• Banking operations experience mandatory.
• Strong FortiGate deployment, migration, administration, troubleshooting.
• FortiSandbox deployment and integration experience.
• Fortinet certifications preferred.
• Good communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess FortiGate architecture, policies, routing, NAT, HA, capacity, and integrations.
• Prepare HLD, LLD, migration plans, runbooks, and test plans.
• Deploy and configure FortiGate firewall clusters.
• Migrate firewall policies, objects, routing, NAT, and HA configurations.
• Integrate with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
• Develop cutover, rollback, and post-migration validation procedures.
• Execute migrations during approved maintenance windows.
• Deploy FortiSandbox appliances or VMs.
• Configure FortiSandbox clusters for HA and load sharing.
• Integrate FortiSandbox with FortiManager and FortiWeb.
• Configure malware-analysis policies and Advanced Threat Protection.
• Perform functional testing, performance tuning, and security validation.
• Troubleshoot implementation, migration, connectivity, and security issues.
• Provide post-migration support and operational monitoring.
• Maintain implementation documents and validation reports.
• Deliver knowledge-transfer sessions to customer teams

Job Purpose:

Participate in a FortiGate project from the initial assessment and design phase through implementation, migration, testing, and operations.

Involve in the deployment and migration of the new FortiGate platforms.

Support the deployment, clustering, and integration of FortiSandbox.

Involve in the implementation of FortiSandbox solution

Ensure the security, availability, and performance of the firewall and advanced threat-protection environment.

Coordinate with network, cybersecurity, SOC, application, and infrastructure teams.

Participate in reviewing the FW policies.

Day-to-day operations.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

2 or 3+ years of experience.

Experience in banking operations is mandatory.

Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate deployment, migration, administration, and troubleshooting.

Strong hands-on experience with FortiSandbox deployment and integration.

Strong knowledge of firewall policies, NAT, routing, HA, security profiles, and network segmentation.

Experience integrating FortiGate with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiSandbox.

Strong knowledge of networking and cybersecurity principles.

Experience in preparing HLD, LLD, migration plans, test plans, and implementation documents.

Relevant Fortinet certifications are preferred.

Good communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
