Job summary

House of Consulting Office for Consulting Engineers Co. (HCO) in AlUla is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to lead on-site construction supervision for water storage tanks and associated infrastructure.

You will oversee day-to-day site activities, coordinate with contractors, and ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications. The role requires 15+ years in water infrastructure, strong leadership, and excellent coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of construction and infra experience.
• Experience with water storage tanks and water infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise water storage tanks and related infrastructure works.
• Act as the site representative and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
• Review drawings, shop drawings, submittals, method statements and submissions.
• Monitor progress against the plan and project requirements.
• Ensure works meet drawings, specs, quality standards and codes.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical interfaces.
• Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning and QC activities.
• Identify issues, risks, delays, non-conformities; ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor contractor performance and HSE compliance.
• Review progress reports, RFIs, NCRs, and project records.
• Support testing, commissioning, closeout and handover.

We are currently seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join our team for the in AlUla.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all construction activities related to water storage tanks and associated infrastructure works.
• Act as the primary site representative and coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and relevant stakeholders.
• Review drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Monitor construction progress against the approved programme and project requirements.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and utility interfaces.
• Monitor site inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality control activities.
• Identify technical issues, construction risks, delays, and non-conformities and ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor contractor performance, HSE compliance, and corrective actions.
• Review progress reports, site documentation, RFIs, NCRs, and project records.
• Support testing, commissioning, project closeout, and final handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant construction and infrastructure experience.
• Strong experience in water storage tanks, water infrastructure, utilities, or similar projects.
• Previous PMC/consultancy experience is highly preferred.
• Strong construction supervision and multidisciplinary coordination experience.
• Experience reviewing technical submissions, drawings, method statements, and contractor documentation.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC, HSE, testing, commissioning, and handover requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
