Job summary

Lever, Inc. seeks an English-to-French linguist and copy editor for product, marketing, and UI content based in Saudi Arabia.

This long-term freelance opportunity focuses on high-quality localization for an international audience across marketing campaigns, product experiences, UI content, and support materials. You will translate, copy-edit, and post-edit machine translations, maintaining natural, accurate, and culturally relevant French.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native French with excellent English
• 2+ years of professional EN→FR translation or 5+ years without degree
• Experience translating marketing, UI, product, informational, support content
• Professional CAT tool experience and localization workflows
• Strong copy-editing and linguistic accuracy
• Ability to work independently as freelance/contractor

Responsibilities

• Translate English content into clear, natural French across marketing, UI, product, support, and legal materials
• Copy-edit and refine French content for accuracy, consistency, readability, tone, and cultural relevance
• Post-edit machine translations to maintain high-quality localization
• Manage 5,000+ words per week and meet deadlines
• Use CAT tools within client-specific workflows
• Identify terminology, grammar and formatting issues and fix them
• Communicate proactively about assignments, deadlines, and feedback
• Incorporate feedback to maintain consistency across projects
