Job description

Job Title: Registrar Nephrology

  1. Manage the care of new and follow-up patients at Riyadh Hospital from consultation through to completion of treatment.
  2. Maintain accurate and clear medical records.
  3. Ensure consistent medical treatment of patients by working in accordance with agreed protocols and achieve medical continuity of care.
  4. Provide advice to clinical, scientific, and administrative staff.
  5. Facilitate own training under the direction of the Medical Director, in accordance with General Medical Board requirements, best practices, and Riyadh Hospital policies and procedures.
  6. Take responsibility for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and documentation of activity in support of revalidation.
  7. Comply with current laws, regulations, and accreditation standards such as MOH, SCFHS, SFDA, CBAHI, JCI, etc.
  8. Assure the credentials, privileges, and competencies of subordinates.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
  1. 3rd category credential according to SCFHS, such as Saudi clinical diploma, Arab Board, Jordanian Board, postgraduate certificate, Syrian Board, or specialty certificate, Egyptian Master, etc.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the same field after obtaining the credential, or as per SCFHS regulations. For subspecialties, relevant training must be fulfilled.
  3. Current registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as a Registrar is highly preferred.
  4. Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP, ALSO, depending on the specialty, are highly required.
Skills and Competencies:
  1. Profound knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
  2. Commitment to the ethical code of the profession and the medical field.
  3. Good communication and people management skills.
  4. Leadership skills and emotional/social intelligence.
