Job summary

Kwtsteel is seeking a Refractory Team Leader to coordinate and oversee refractory maintenance, repair, and relining across steelmaking units such as EAF, ladles, and tundishes. The role focuses on reliability, safety, and continuous production support during the assigned shift.

You will guide refractory masons and ladle bay operators, ensure proper execution of installation and relining tasks, verify work quality, maintain shift logs in SAP, and uphold IMS, QMS, EMS, and OHSAS standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, metallurgy, industrial fields.
• Minimum 5 years as Refractory Shift In-charge in steelmaking (Diploma).
• Experience in EAF, ladles, tundishes, LF or CCM.
• Experience with safety standards, ISO procedures, risk prevention.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide refractory masons and ladle bay operators on procedures and safety compliance.
• Ensure proper execution of refractory installation, maintenance, and relining in EAF, ladles, tundishes.
• Verify gunning, patching, casting, ramming, and brick lining per standards and safety.
