Job summary

Precision Group in Saudi Arabia is seeking a dedicated individual to assist in quality control operations amid packaging processes. The ideal candidate will help implement and maintain procedures to ensure product quality, monitor compliance with standards like ISO, and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

The position requires a diploma in engineering, preferably chemical, and 0–1 year of related experience. Responsibilities include performing audits, supporting product inspections, and preparing detailed reports.

Qualifications

  • 0–1 year of experience in packaging/manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs is beneficial.
  • Project management certifications are a plus.

  • Prepare and maintain trial reports for incoming materials.

Job description

Incumbent will support the development of new processes and the maintenance and implementation of existing processes to ensure product quality is achieved through packaging operations.

Functionality Responsibilities
  • Quality Planning: standardize processes through creation of work instructions, test methods, product specifications, and qualification plans.
  • Understand and support implementation of BRCGS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standard requirements.
  • As a member of the Food Safety team, update Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment, review supplier performance monthly, communicate with suppliers, coordinate on quality concerns and CAPA.
  • Perform internal audits as per audit schedule and follow up on CAPA.
  • Review latest product specifications regularly and update the required changes in Quality Plan, Test Methods, and COA templates.
  • Review and update mold and product health reports quarterly.
  • Record customer complaints, coordinate with inter‑departments for root cause analysis, and take necessary CAPA actions.
  • Provide monthly health reports on lab measuring equipment, monitor calibration status, and coordinate required calibration activities with suppliers.
  • Monitor and perform required migration reports and microbiological tests.
Quality Control
  • Involve in product or raw material approval processes with suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain trial reports for all incoming materials.
  • Perform incoming material inspections and update records in the system.
  • Conduct inspections on approved products as per quality plan and prepare inspection reports using lab equipment.
  • Prepare COA for each batch before shipping.
  • Perform ad‑hoc product inspections as instructed by the head of the department.
  • Record all incidents and follow up on CAPA.
  • Perform periodic microbiological swab tests on identified areas.
  • Conduct machine capability studies and maintain records of findings.
Quality Improvements
  • Conduct ongoing quality reviews of final products with design reviews and customer quality checklists.
  • Participate in project meetings and share reports on quality‑related items.
  • Monitor and report regular updates to internal and external stakeholders on process development improvement projects, including risks, dependencies, critical milestones, and forthcoming actions.
  • Maintain logs for major changes that affect product or process quality.
  • Provide training to the operation team on selected topics.
  • Support the operations team in exploring options for improving manufacturing capacity, productivity, and cost reductions using lean and Six Sigma approaches and best‑practice identification.
  • Define, develop, and publish business improvement process documentation to reflect best practice.
Other Responsibilities
  • Attend and participate in meetings, operational reviews, training, and other activities as directed by the head of department.
  • Ensure compliance to Safety, Quality, Food Safety, and Environment requirements as specified in the global QHSE Management System with strict adherence to ISO and local regulatory authority.
  • Ensure all project‑related documents and records are fully up to date, and traceability and retrieval of records and products are upheld at all times, complying with ISO and management procedures.
  • Actively monitor industry trends, equipment and process innovations, and emerging technologies to create initiatives that capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in trade shows, educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and engaging in professional organizations.
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by the line manager and business heads.
Requirements
  • Diploma in engineering, preferably chemical.
  • 0–1 year of experience in packaging/manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Knowledge of process improvement initiatives using the latest technology, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and procedures.
  • Project management certifications and expertise.
  • Analytical and data interrogation skills.
  • Problem‑solving capability.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
