Job summary

Gulf Packaging Industries Co. is seeking a seasoned QMS leader to drive the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of our quality management system. You will coordinate internal and external audits, liaise with certification bodies, and oversee documentation, control, and records across the organization.

You will develop KPI dashboards, lead change management, and train staff on QMS requirements to ensure audit readiness and continual improvement across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of dedicated QMS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in management system implementation and auditing.
• Proven responsibility for internal and external audits, not just support roles.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, EcoVadis and related standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of QMS policies, procedures, processes, and standards across the organization.
• Manage and coordinate internal and external audits, including planning, execution, findings, corrective actions, and follow-up.
• Act as key contact for certification bodies, external auditors, and stakeholders during audits.
• Develop and maintain QMS documentation, procedures, work instructions, forms, and records.
• Establish document control and records management systems to keep documents current and accessible.
• Monitor and track QMS KPIs, ensuring data is analyzed and reported.
• Lead change management within the QMS, ensuring changes are assessed, documented, and communicated.
• Conduct shop-floor training and awareness sessions on QMS requirements and audit readiness.
• Plan and conduct internal audits across functions to assess compliance and effectiveness.
• Prepare audit reports, identify non-conformities and improvement opportunities, and close corrective actions.
• Coordinate Management Review Meetings with agendas, inputs, performance reports and action plans.

Job description

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of QMS policies, procedures, processes, and standards across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with applicable management system standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
• Manage and coordinate internal and external audits, including audit planning, execution, findings, corrective actions, and follow-up.
• Act as the key point of contact for certification bodies, external auditors, and relevant stakeholders during audits.
• Develop and maintain the organization's QMS documentation, procedures, work instructions, forms, and records.
• Establish effective document control and records management systems to ensure documents are current, controlled, accessible, and properly maintained.
• Monitor and track departmental and QMS KPIs, ensuring performance is measured, analyzed, reported, and followed up.
• Monitor, verify, and validate the effectiveness of QMS controls and corrective/preventive actions.
• Lead the implementation of change management requirements within the QMS and ensure changes are properly assessed, documented, communicated, and implemented.
• Conduct shop-floor training and awareness sessions on QMS requirements, procedures, standards, and audit readiness.
• Plan and conduct internal audits across different functions and processes to assess compliance and effectiveness.
• Prepare audit reports, identify non-conformities and improvement opportunities, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Coordinate and conduct Management Review Meetings, including preparation of agendas, inputs, performance reports, action plans, and follow-up.
• Support the organization in maintaining readiness for certification, surveillance, and recertification audits.
• Promote a culture of quality, compliance, continual improvement, and process discipline throughout the manufacturing organization.
• Maintain and support the organization's EcoVadis requirements and sustainability-related documentation and assessments.
• Ensure lessons learned and audit findings are effectively communicated and incorporated into relevant processes and procedures.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of dedicated QMS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in management system implementation and auditing.
• Proven responsibility for internal and external audits, rather than supporting audits as part of a hybrid role.
• Experience working with organizations certified/assessed against:
• ISO 9001 – Quality Management
• ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety
• EcoVadis
• Lead Auditor certification/training in relevant ISO standards is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QMS documentation, document control, compliance monitoring, corrective actions, and continual improvement.
• Experience in conducting management reviews and shop-floor training/awareness programs.
• Strong understanding of KPI development, monitoring, tracking, and reporting.
• Good understanding of change management and risk-based process control.
• Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and auditing skills.
