Job summary

SMC International Placement in Medina, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an Electrical QA/QC Inspector to ensure electrical installations meet approved drawings, project specs, and applicable standards on site.

The role involves inspecting cable laying, glanding, termination, panels, switchgear, and lighting; reviewing drawings, ITPs, NCRs; witnessing insulation resistance, continuity, and earth tests; coordinating with site teams; and preparing ITRs and quality reports to ensure HSE compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in QA/QC electrical installation inspection and testing.
• Strong knowledge of IEC/NEC and project standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications and applicable standards.
• Inspect cable laying, glanding and termination, cable trays and conduit installations.
• Verify installation of electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, motors and lighting systems.
• Inspect earthing, grounding and lightning protection systems.
• Review electrical drawings, method statements and ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans).
• Witness testing: insulation resistance, continuity, and earth resistance tests.
• Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions.
• Verify materials certificates and equipment inspection records.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, QC supervisors and client inspectors.
• Prepare inspection reports (ITR) and quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project quality requirements and site HSE procedures.
