Job summary

Zaramiz Company Limited is seeking an experienced QC Coating Inspector to monitor surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting, coating and corrosion protection activities across projects in Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance with ITPs and QA/QC documentation.

The role requires knowledge of coating inspection standards (NACE/AMPP, SSPC, ASTM, ISO), verification of DFT/WFT, adhesion, curing and environmental monitoring, and coordination with contractors and third-party inspectors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• 6+ years of relevant experience as a QC Coating Inspector, with Gulf experience.
• Valid CBT certification and Saudi Aramco approval or proven Saudi Aramco project experience.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, blasting, coating inspection procedures, ITPs, and QA/QC documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting, coating, and touch-up activities per approved specs, ITPs, and project requirements.
• Verify surface condition, cleanliness, profile, and preparation before coating application.
• Inspect coating application for DFT/WFT, adhesion, curing, recoat interval, coverage, and visual defects.
• Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point, surface temperature) before and during coating activities.
• Verify coating materials, batch numbers, shelf life, storage, mixing ratios, and application procedures.
• Review and verify coating manufacturer data sheets, material certificates, inspection reports, and test records.
• Conduct or witness coating tests (holiday detection, DFT measurement, adhesion testing, surface profile) as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with approved ITPs, method statements, coating procedures, project specs, and Saudi Aramco standards.
• Identify defects and non-conformities, raise NCRs/observations, and follow up on corrective actions and closure.
• Maintain coating inspection reports, daily records, test reports, material records, and QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with coating contractors, construction teams, client reps, and third-party inspectors.
• Support final inspection, punch-list clearance, mechanical completion, and turnover dossier preparation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Inspect coating application for DFT/WFT, adhesion, curing, recoat interval, coverage, and visual defects.

Mandatory Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• 6+ years of relevant experience as a QC Coating Inspector.
• Minimum 6+ years of relevant Gulf experience.
• Valid CBT certification, where applicable.
• Valid Saudi Aramco approval or proven experience working on Saudi Aramco projects.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, blasting, coating application, inspection procedures, ITPs, and QA/QC documentation.
• Knowledge of coating inspection standards such as NACE/AMPP, SSPC, ASTM, and ISO, as applicable.
• Experience with DFT/WFT, surface profile, dew point, environmental monitoring, holiday detection, and adhesion testing.
• Candidates currently available in Saudi Arabia will be given priority.
• Open to candidates from India, Pakistan, Philippines, and eligible local-transfer candidates; Saudi Nationals are not eligible.
