Job Title: Project Manager (Oil & Gas / Pipelines)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee the execution of capital projects within our Saudi Arabia operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, ensuring operational excellence, financial profitability, and strong client relationships in the Oil & Gas and pipeline construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

1. Project Execution & Management:

  • Manage and monitor all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, estimating, cost control, and scheduling.
  • Direct and lead the project team and on-site personnel, ensuring staff are qualified, motivated, and adhering to QA/QC and HSES standards.
  • Mobilize and manage equipment and personnel resources efficiently across project sites.
  • Prepare, update, and communicate project schedules both internally and to clients.

2. Contractual & Legal Oversight:

  • Assist in contractual discussions and propose technical wording for the scope of work.
  • Manage relationships with sub-contractors, reviewing contracts and challenging their performance to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Handle variation orders (VOR) by responding to client requests for additional work, ensuring feasibility within budget and time constraints.

3. Financial Optimization:

  • Oversee project cash flow, ensuring invoices are issued against milestones and paid on time.
  • Monitor project costs and revenues (CEP) to ensure overall profitability and minimize variable costs.
  • Manage PR/PO processes within the ERP system (IFS) and record costs associated with Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

4. Client Relationship & Operations:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, conducting regular site visits to gather feedback and improve service delivery.
  • Consolidate "Lessons Learned" from projects in Saudi Arabia to share with regional management for continuous improvement.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Industry Background: Proven track record in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in Pipelines and Construction.
  • Regional Experience: Mandatory previous work experience within Saudi Arabia, with a solid understanding of local logistics certifications and market dynamics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and ERP tools (e.g., IFS).
  • Strong technical knowledge in welding, mechanics, and materials.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English.
