Job summary

Rowad Modern Engineering in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a civil engineering background to lead major civil construction and substation projects. You will plan, initiate, and drive project scopes, timelines, and budgets while coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams.

You will manage risks, monitor progress, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure quality and compliance with IEC/IEEE/ASTM standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; master's preferred.
• 10+ years in civil construction with 5+ years in substation/infrastructure.
• Proven track record in EPC/turnkey substation projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil design and project management practices.
• Familiarity with IEC/IEEE/ASTM/ACI standards.
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, and HSE.

Responsibility

• Project Planning and Initiation
• Define project scope objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop detailed project plans including timelines milestones and resource allocation
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths

Execution and Monitoring

• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals
• Monitor project progress track performance and implement changes as necessary
• Manage risks and issues ensuring timely resolution to minimize impact on project outcomes

Stakeholder Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders providing regular updates on project status
• Facilitate meetings prepare reports and communicate project expectations clearly
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives

Budget and Resource Management

• Develop and manage project budgets ensuring cost-effectiveness
• Allocate resources efficiently and monitor utilization throughout the project lifecycle

Quality Assurance

• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and comply with organizational requirements
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement

Closure and Handover

• Ensure all project deliverables are completed and formally accepted by stakeholders
• Conduct project closure activities including documentation and knowledge transfer

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in civil engineering (master s preferred).

• Proven track record in managing EPC/turnkey substation projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil design, construction methodologies, and project management practices.
• Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ASTM, ACI, etc.).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, HSE).
