Job summary

Petroraq Engineering & Construction is seeking a Project Manager with electrical EPC expertise to lead multidisciplinary teams from kickoff through closeout. You will own the execution plan, coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Planning, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role requires 5+ years in PM for industrial or infrastructure electrical projects, strong leadership, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience managing industrial/infrastructure/electrical EPC projects.
• PMP certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical projects from kickoff to handover and closeout.
• Develop and implement Project Execution Plan (PEP) per contract and procedures.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, Commercial and Finance.
• Control budget, schedule, and resources; resolve technical and logistic bottlenecks.

Project Management amp Execution

Take complete ownership of assigned electrical projects from kick-off engineering and procurement through construction testing commissioning energization handover and closeout Prepare and implement the Project Execution Plan PEP in accordance with contractual requirements and company procedures Establish execution strategies project priorities construction sequences manpower requirements equipment requirements and site logistics Ensure projects are completed safely on schedule within approved budget and according to contractual and technical requirements Lead multidisciplinary project teams and ensure effective coordination between Engineering Procurement Construction Planning QA QC HSE Commercial and Finance functions Identify project bottlenecks early and implement corrective and recovery actions

Electrical Technical Management

Provide technical and execution leadership for electrical works including as applicable MV LV power distribution systems Substations and electrical rooms Transformers MV LV switchgear Motor Control Centers MCCs Distribution boards and panel boards Cable trays ladders conduits trenches and duct banks Cable pulling dressing glanding and termination Earthing and grounding systems Lightning protection systems Indoor and outdoor lighting systems Emergency lighting Generator and emergency power systems Electrical interfaces with mechanical equipment Control and instrumentation interfaces where applicable Electrical infrastructure and utility works Review and understand single-line diagrams load schedules cable schedules electrical layouts schematics equipment data sheets technical specifications BOQs IFC drawings shop drawings and vendor drawings Ensure electrical installations comply with approved designs applicable codes client specifications manufacturer requirements and project standards

Engineering Coordination

Coordinate with engineering teams for timely preparation review submission and approval of electrical engineering deliverables Monitor IFC drawings shop drawings material submittals technical queries RFIs method statements calculations and vendor documents Review engineering deliverables from a constructability and execution perspective Identify discrepancies between drawings specifications BOQs vendor requirements and actual site conditions Ensure technical issues are resolved before they affect construction progress Coordinate electrical interfaces with Civil Structural Mechanical HVAC Plumbing Instrumentation Telecom and other disciplines Manage design changes and ensure their schedule and commercial impacts are properly documented

Planning amp Project Controls

Coordinate development of the project baseline schedule WBS milestones engineering schedule procurement schedule construction schedule manpower histogram equipment plan and testing commissioning schedule Review daily weekly and monthly project progress Monitor actual progress against approved baseline schedules Review critical-path activities look-ahead schedules productivity manpower utilization material availability and project forecasts Identify delays and prepare appropriate catch-up recovery schedules Ensure accurate preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports Monitor engineering procurement construction and commissioning milestones as an integrated project schedule

Procurement amp Vendor Management

Coordinate electrical procurement requirements with Procurement and Engineering teams Monitor preparation and approval of material requisitions technical bid evaluations purchase orders vendor drawings and material submittals Pay particular attention to long-lead electrical equipment such as transformers switchgear MCCs generators UPS systems and specialized panels Monitor manufacturing inspection FAT shipment delivery and site availability against project requirements Ensure procurement activities remain aligned with construction priorities Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding technical clarifications and delivery issues Ensure delivered materials comply with approved specifications and project requirements

Construction amp Site Management

Lead site execution of all electrical construction activities Ensure adequate manpower tools equipment materials access and work fronts are available Monitor subcontractor and site-team productivity Coordinate daily construction priorities with site engineers supervisors planning QA QC and HSE teams Ensure installations are completed according to approved drawings method statements specifications and inspection requirements Resolve site constraints and technical issues promptly Monitor material utilization and prevent unnecessary wastage or rework Ensure proper coordination of electrical works with other disciplines before installation

Subcontractor Management

Participate in technical and commercial evaluation of electrical subcontractors Review subcontractor scope and ensure clear understanding of responsibilities and exclusions Monitor subcontractor mobilization manpower productivity progress quality and safety performance Conduct regular subcontractor progress meetings Verify subcontractor quantities and completed work before certification Ensure subcontractors comply with contractual obligations and project requirements Take corrective action when subcontractor performance falls below required standards

Cost Control amp Commercial Management

Maintain control over project budget committed cost actual cost forecast cost cash flow and profitability Coordinate closely with Cost Control and Commercial teams Monitor manpower costs material costs equipment costs subcontractor costs and productivity Review BOQ quantities and actual executed quantities Identify additional or out-of-scope works before execution wherever possible Prepare and support variation orders change orders additional-work claims extension-of-time claims and cost-impact assessments Ensure proper records are maintained to support commercial claims Review client progress invoices payment applications Verify subcontractor progress claims Protect Petroraq s contractual and commercial interests throughout the project

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.Minimum 5 years of experience in a Project Manager or comparable project leadership position.Strong experience managing industrial, infrastructure, commercial, utility, or EPC electrical projects.Strong leadership and decision-making capability.Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.PMP certification is highly preferred.
