Job summary

WSP Middle East is seeking a Senior Project Director to lead delivery of a landmark high-rise tower in Riyadh, KSA. You will oversee all phases of project delivery, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budget, and schedule, while upholding WSP's standards of excellence.

You will build and lead multidisciplinary teams, manage design management, construction supervision, cost control, and stakeholder engagement, and represent WSP at senior levels.

Qualifications

• Degree in a discipline suited to the work to be delivered.
• 20+ years' experience in leading construction supervision of multi-disciplinary projects.
• International consultancy experience, with 5+ years in the Middle East.
• Strong leadership and client interface skills.
• Experience in large-scale tunnelling and hospitality projects is an advantage.
• Pre-contract design management under RIBA framework is preferred.
• High-rise project leadership experience with clear scale and complexity.
• ECI delivery strategy exposure.

You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of project delivery, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budget, schedule, and WSP's commitment to excellence.

• Ensure assigned projects are completed within budget and schedule, while meeting client requirements and business objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of project execution, including design management, construction supervision, cost control, and stakeholder engagement.
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Drive innovation, sustainability, and digital best practices in project delivery.
• Represent WSP at senior-level meetings and within broader industry forums as required.

Qualifications / Experience

• A degree in a discipline suited to the work to be delivered, with the ability to converse in technical matters across all disciplines associated with our Construction Supervision projects.
• 20+ years' experience in leading construction supervision of multi-disciplinary projects.
• Working for an international consultancy for 20+ years and over 5 years of experience in the Middle East.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a strong client interface presence.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale tunnelling and hospitality projects, with a deep understanding of the technical aspects involved.
• PMP, RICS, or similar project management certification is an advantage.
• Pre-contract design management experience under the RIBA framework (e.g., coordination during RIBA Stages 2-4, oversight of multidisciplinary design teams, value engineering, and design governance).
• High-rise project leadership experience, clearly noting the scale (GFA, height, no. of floors) and complexity (mixed-use, hospitality, residential, or commercial) of the developments.
• Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) delivery strategy exposure, such as constructability reviews, logistics planning, sequencing, and value engineering input at early design stages.
