Job summary

Responsibilities

• Implements department policies, processes and procedures and monitors adherence to ensure work is controlled (SSP/SOP).
• Follows day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with standards and procedures and smooth production.
• Integrates production operations across shifts and establishes short-term activities for continuity and balance.
• Handles emergency and planned shutdowns in line with production plan and marketing.
• Coordinates with other functions to support output, productivity and quality.
• Selects, trains and motivates production workforce to meet schedules at optimum productivity and cost.
• Monitors production plans and reports to ensure attainment of mandates and efficiency.
• Monitors plants and production performance and advises management to optimize operations.
• Prepares board meeting presentations and executive summaries.
