Job Description Summary

The Production Data Analyst – ECT supports the production and operations teams by collecting, validating, and analyzing manufacturing data to enable accurate performance tracking and data-driven decision making. This role works closely with the Cell Leader, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, and Quality teams to monitor labor hours, production progress, and key manufacturing KPIs.

The position is designed for early-career professionals who are interested in manufacturing operations, skid or modular equipment assembly, and shop-floor performance analysis. The role combines hands-on shop-floor exposure with data analysis and reporting, helping ensure alignment between planned and actual execution.

The analyst will maintain Excel-based reports and dashboards, support daily and periodic performance reviews, and contribute to standardization and continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides strong foundational experience for future careers in operations, industrial engineering, manufacturing analytics, or planning.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collect and consolidate production data from timesheets, router files, and shop-floor inputs.
  • Validate accuracy (missing punches, incorrect operation IDs, duration errors) and follow up on corrections.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly KPI reports: utilization, operation attainment, planned vs actual hours, overtime, rework.
  • Build and maintain dashboards using Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, slicers/charts).
  • Support standardization of reporting templates and master data (Operation IDs, planned hours).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited university.
  • 0 to 1 year of experience with exposure to operations, manufacturing systems, statistics, or data analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Desired Characteristics
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
    • Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts
    • Logical and statistical formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS)
    • Data cleaning, structuring, and validation techniques
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing or operational data, such as labor hours, routings, production tracking, and planned vs actual performance
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data, trends.
  • Ability to work closely with production, planning, and engineering teams to understand data sources and validate information.
  • Willingness to ask questions, follow up on data gaps, and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Interest in skid assembly and manufacturing.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, piping, electrical, or integrated systems.
  • Awareness of manufacturing and assembly processes (workstations, routing, operation steps).
  • Basic knowledge of production KPIs such as labor utilization and planned vs actual hours.
  • Willingness to spend time on the shop floor to understand assembly flow and data sources.
  • Ability to learn and apply Lean and daily management concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on data accuracy.
  • Interest in developing skills in dashboards and data analysis.
  • Good communication skills and confidence to follow up with teams.
  • Proactive and hands-on learning mindset.
