Role Purpose

The Product Manager will lead the end‑to‑end ownership and delivery of EFTPOS and POS payment service products within the MSP domain. This role is responsible for shaping product vision, translating regulatory and market needs into clear product requirements, and driving execution from discovery through launch. The position requires deep expertise in payment interfaces (mada), strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and hands‑on experience with payment messaging standards to ensure compliant, scalable, and high‑quality product outcomes for the Saudi market.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for EFTPOS payment services aligned with business goals and market needs in Saudi Arabia.
  • Define product scope, priorities, and success metrics across the full product lifecycle.
Requirements & Backlog Management

Translate business, regulatory, and customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog using tools such as Jira and Notion, ensuring alignment with delivery capacity and strategic objectives.
Delivery & Release Management
  • Work closely with engineering, QA, operations, and vendors to ensure timely and high‑quality product delivery.
  • Support release planning, readiness, and rollout activities to ensure smooth and predictable launches.
Payments Domain Leadership

Lead product decisions related to EFTPOS payment interfaces, including:

  • mada transaction flows and certification requirements
  • POS / ECR integrations
  • Acquirer, issuer, and scheme interactions

Act as a subject‑matter expert in payment message standards, including:

  • ISO 8583
  • NEXO / ISO 20022
Stakeholder & Partner Management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (technology, compliance, operations, support) and external partners (banks, schemes, vendors).
  • Serve as the key product contact for discussions related to payment functionality, enhancements, and issue resolution.
Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
  • Ensure products comply with mada regulations, Saudi Payments requirements, and local market standards.
  • Support certification, audits, and scheme‑driven changes from a product perspective.
Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and monitor product KPIs related to adoption, performance, quality, and customer experience.
  • Gather merchant, partner, and operational feedback to continuously improve product features and usability.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Professional Experience

3–6 years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner within Fintech, Banking, or Payment Services.

  • Hands‑on experience managing EFTPOS / POS payment products is mandatory.

Payments & Technical Expertise

  • Strong practical experience with mada payment interfaces
  • Strong practical experience with ISO 8583 messaging
  • Strong practical experience with NEXO / ISO 20022 standards
  • Solid understanding of in‑store payments, POS / SoftPOS / ECR systems, acquiring platforms and transaction processing flows
Tools & Ways of Working

Proven experience using Jira, Notion, and similar product and delivery management tools.

  • Strong background working in Agile environments (Scrum / Kanban), collaborating closely with engineering teams.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Location & Market

Based in Saudi Arabia

  • Strong understanding of the Saudi payments ecosystem and local market dynamics.
Nice to Have
  • Prior involvement in mada certification or scheme compliance initiatives.
  • Experience working with MSPs, acquirers, or payment gateways.
  • Exposure to POS terminal software, TMS, or merchant management platforms.
