Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sales force by providing high-level product expertise and knowledge of Automation products (Variable Speed Drives, PLCs and HMIs) to generate business growth in the industry market.
  • Promote our automation products to the industry market and contribute to increasing Schneider Electric market share.
  • Support customers in developing PLC and HMI applications and mastering Drives applications and product configuration.
  • Provide technical support to all SE channel partners.
  • Understand Variable Speed Drives, PLCs & HMIs market applications and customer needs to support application development and advise on optimized solutions for the technical issues and problems of the client.
  • Train customers, access channels, and Sales teams on products and applications.
  • Closely work with the Activity Manager and support the development of relevant demos required.
  • Prescribe and educate customers on application advantages.
  • Identify projects and consult on proper market application.
  • Assist with quoting, designs, system start-up, hardware and software training, and troubleshooting.
  • Help develop and manage contracts and projects and help coordinate between access channel and customers.
  • Develop technical and commercial argumentation for sales people.
  • Consistently update literature and promotional tools for industry customers.
  • Report monthly on activity to the Marketing Manager for Industry Market.
  • Answer all technical needs of customers.
  • Maintain professional and jovial relationships with customers.
Qualifications
  • Electrical or Electronic Engineering Degree.
  • 5‑10 years of hands‑on experience with Variable Speed Drives, PLCs and HMIs application development.
  • A demonstrable track record of success in a similar job role, whereby product promotion and support are relevant to either market or customer’s requirements.
  • In‑depth knowledge of automation systems and their application within customer organizations.
  • Working electrical knowledge and experience with Schneider Electric products is a big plus.
  • Proven work experience as a support engineer in the automation market or similar role.
  • Good understanding of automation products (controllers, touchscreens, variable speed drives…).
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, and to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrate a flair and understanding of customer support issues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to learn quickly.
  • Proven ability to work towards individual and team goals.
