Job Purpose:
The IT Procurement Manager is responsible for managing end‑to‑end procurement activities for technology, systems, and project‑based requirements. The role ensures cost optimization, supplier performance, compliance with company policies, and alignment with Sales, Finance, and technical teams to support timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Operations
- Manage the full procurement cycle (PR → RFQ → Costing → PO → Delivery → Invoice coordination).
- Review and approve PRs related to IT, systems, and project requirements.
- Ensure timely issuance of POs in coordination with Finance and Sales.
- Handle urgent and escalated procurement cases for critical projects.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships with key technology brands, including partner registration, level of partnership, and alignment with vendor program requirements to unlock commercial benefits, discounts, and sales eligibility.
- Manage relationships with vendors, distributors, and system integrators.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, lead time, and commercial conditions.
- Coordinate deal registrations and vendor approvals when required.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and compliance.
Costing & Commercial Support
- Review and validate cost sheets before sharing with Sales.
- Ensure alignment between vendor terms and client payment terms.
- Support Sales team during bidding and proposal stages with accurate and timely cost data.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities and negotiate improved commercial terms.
ERP & Process Control
- Oversee procurement transactions within ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Ensure correct item creation, categorization, and compliance with Finance requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for procurement activities.
- Support process improvements and procurement workflow optimization.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the main interface between Procurement, Sales, Finance, Technical, and Warehouse teams.
- Align procurement activities with project timelines and delivery requirements.
- Provide clear status updates and reporting to management.
Team Leadership
- Manage and guide the procurement team.
- Assign tasks, follow up on progress, and ensure timely closure of requests.
- Support onboarding and training of new procurement team members.
- Review team performance and ensure compliance with procurement standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, supply chain, Businessenders Administration, IT, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, with strong exposure to IT / technology procurement.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Strong understanding of procurement cycles, vendor negotiations, and commercial terms.
