Eram Talent is seeking a seasoned Procurement Engineer to lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle on EPC projects. The role focuses on sourcing materials, equipment, long-lead items, and subcontracted services while ensuring cost-effective purchasing, on-time delivery, and compliance with technical specs and schedules.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering, 15+ years with reputed EPC contractors, and strong ERP experience
The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the complete procurement lifecycle for EPC projects, including sourcing materials, equipment, long-lead items, and subcontracted services. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, compliance with technical specifications, and adherence to project schedules while supporting successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities include managing the end-to-end procurement process for project materials, preparing RFQs, evaluating supplier quotations, conducting technical and commercial bid evaluations, negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, warranties, and contractual conditions. Prepare purchase orders, procurement recommendations, and contract documentation. Coordinate with engineering, planning, QA/QC, logistics, construction, and project management teams. Monitor supplier performance, expedite critical deliveries, and resolve procurement issues. Develop and maintain vendor relationships, track procurement progress, and ensure compliance with company procedures and HSE standards.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, minimum 15 years of procurement experience with reputed EPC contractors, at least 5 years in EPC projects within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Infrastructure, or Industrial sectors, proven experience in procuring long-lead items and critical equipment, strong knowledge of EPC procurement processes and commercial negotiations, proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent procurement software, and professional certifications such as CIPS or CPM preferred.
