Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Planner to lead detailed work-pack development and schedule coordination for a major restoration/site-execution project at Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. You will manage interfaces between the client, project team and multiple EPC contractors, delivering accurate forecasts and progress insights.

Using Primavera P6 and EV methodologies, you will monitor performance, prepare daily/weekly reports, and drive corrective actions to protect milestones while collaborating with

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management or related discipline.
  • Significant planning and scheduling experience within oil, gas, petrochemical, energy, industrial or infrastructure sectors.
  • Senior/Principal planning experience on complex EPC, brownfield, restoration or site-execution projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate detailed work packs for restoration and site-execution activities.
  • Manage interfaces between the client, project team and multiple EPC contractors.
  • Monitor progress and performance of restoration activities using earned value analysis.
  • Prepare daily progress and performance reports for project leadership and the client.
  • Maintain the Level 1 Client Master Schedule and Level 3 engineering schedules.
  • Provide accurate forecasts, schedule analysis and planning information to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate detailed work packs for restoration and site-execution activities.
  • Manage planning interfaces between the client, project team and multiple EPC contractors.
  • Monitor the overall progress and performance of restoration activities.
  • Conduct daily earned value analysis and evaluate project performance.
  • Prepare daily progress and performance reports for project leadership and the client.
  • Manage and maintain the Level 1 Client Master Schedule.
  • Develop and update detailed Level 3 engineering schedules.
  • Monitor engineering deliverables through the Master Document Register and Engineering Deliverables Status Register.
  • Track and report engineering progress against approved plans and schedules.
  • Monitor procurement plans, vendor activities, equipment and material delivery dates.
  • Prepare procurement progress reports and highlight potential schedule impacts.
  • Review and verify quantities included in contractor progress submissions.
  • Validate reported contractor progress and support the review of payment applications.
  • Review contractor schedules, look-ahead plans, forecasts and recovery programmes.
  • Identify schedule risks, constraints, delays and critical-path impacts.
  • Recommend corrective and recovery actions to protect project milestones.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams to validate progress.
  • Provide accurate forecasts, schedule analysis and planning information to support project decision-making.
  • Ensure that planning and reporting activities comply with project procedures, client requirements and Worley standards.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline.
  • Significant project planning and scheduling experience within the oil and gas, petrochemical, energy, industrial or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience working in a Senior or Principal planning position on complex EPC, brownfield, restoration or site-execution projects.
  • Strong experience coordinating multiple EPC contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Level 1 and Level 3 project schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of earned value management, progress measurement, forecasting and schedule-performance analysis.
  • Experience managing engineering deliverable registers, including MDR and EDSR tracking.
  • Experience monitoring procurement plans, vendor documentation and material delivery schedules.
  • Experience reviewing contractor progress quantities and supporting the validation of payment submissions.
  • A strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning processes.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and project-reporting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • The ability to work full-time at the project site in Yanbu.
  • Experience with EcoSys and Power BI would be advantageous.
  • PMP, PMI-SP, AACE or an equivalent professional certification would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or elsewhere in the Middle East would also be advantageous.
