Job summary

Sela Pass seeks a Presales Engineer for Firefighting Systems to lead technical and commercial bid support in the Saudi market. You will perform tender evaluation, system design, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation while coordinating with vendors and consultants.

The role requires deep knowledge of firefighting and special hazard protection, familiarity with NFPA standards and SBC rules, and a proven track record in Saudi fire protection projects. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Fire Protection.
• Minimum 5 years in firefighting systems, estimation or presales.
• Saudi experience with a fire protection vendors, distributor or manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, specifications, drawings and BOQs
• Perform take-offs and prepare cost estimates
• Prepare technical and commercial offers, including compliance statements, deviations and clarifications
• Send RFQs to vendors and evaluate their offers
• Support the Sales Manager in technical discussions with consultants, contractors and clients
• Ensure offers comply with Civil Defense, SBC and NFPA requirements

Role Description

Sela Pass is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Presales Engineer – Firefighting Systems to join our Firefighting Commercial Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and commercial support throughout the presales process, including tender evaluation, system design, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, vendor coordination, and preparation of competitive technical and commercial proposals. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge of firefighting and special hazard protection systems, extensive familiarity with NFPA standards and Saudi Building Code requirements, and practical experience within the Saudi fire protection market.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Fire Protection

Years of Experience

• Minimum 5 years in firefighting systems, estimation or presales
• Saudi experience with a fire protection vendors , distributor or manufacturer.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of SBC 801 and NFPA 2001, 11, 12, 13, 20 and 750
• Able to calculate special hazard systems:
• Clean agent: design concentration, agent quantity, cylinder and nozzle sizing
• AutoCAD, advanced Excel, and vendor flow calculation software
• Hydraulic calculation software is a plus
