Job summary

United Motors Company is seeking an Auto Painter to prepare and paint vehicle surfaces to restore the original appearance and meet manufacturer standards.

You will ensure accurate color matching, proper surface preparation, spray applications, and finishing while upholding safety, quality, and productivity.

Experience with water-based and solvent-based paints is preferred, and you will collaborate with Body Shop teams to complete repairs on time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical qualification in Automotive Body & Paint.
• 2–5 years of experience as an Auto Painter in dealership or body shop.
• Good knowledge of automotive paint systems, refinishing materials, and painting techniques.
• Experience with water-based and solvent-based paint systems is preferred.
• Experience with computerized color-matching systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of vehicle body repair and refinishing processes.
• Ability to read and follow repair orders and technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect surfaces and identify areas for painting or refinishing.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, filling, and priming.
• Mix paints and primers according to manufacturer specifications.
• Apply basecoat, color, and clear coat with spray guns.
• Ensure paint thickness, coverage, color consistency, and finish quality.
• Perform blending and spot repairs for seamless finish.
• Polish surfaces to achieve required gloss.
• Follow repair orders and timelines.
• Maintain spray equipment and workshop tools.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Coordinate with Body Repair Technicians, Estimators, Parts, and Supervisors.
