Planning Engineer - OHL at Larsen & Toubro.

Planning Engineer- Electrical having 10 years' experience in execution of EHV Over Head Transmission Line projects preferably in Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed programmed for construction activities of the project.
• Understand the true scope and requirements of the project.
• Co – Ordinate with Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Construction Programme.
• Prepare manpower resources schedules and histograms to achieve the timely completion of project.
• Prepare equipment/material procurement schedule.
• Co – Ordinate and assist Project Manager for timely ordering of material and equipment.
• Preparation & Submission of daily, weekly and Monthly reports.
• Prepare work plans and look ahead short-term programmers’ as required by the contract.
• Monitor the progress of works at site and highlight the problems to the PM / CM, as required.
• Monitor and maintain tracking logs for Material and drawing submittals.
• Develop detailed programme for Testing & Commissioning System.
• Attend Project Progress review meetings with Project Manager and assist as required.
• Co ordinate with members of project teams for delivering material submittals on time
• Select the appropriate supplier for satisfying specific techno – commercial requirements.
• Source alternate and new materials for customer to achieve cost – effectiveness
• Develop new vendors.
• Train and develop team on technical, commercial, negotiation skills through seminars.
• Deliver monthly report to management on status of all jobs.
• Obtain approval from management for ordering major items.
