Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef with proven experience in the Saudi Arabian market to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that align with local market preferences and international standards. Saudi residency is mandatory, and applicants must present a professional portfolio of previous work.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and present a wide range of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked products according to company standards.
- Develop new dessert concepts and seasonal menu items suitable for the Saudi market and customer preferences.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation of all pastry items.
- Manage daily pastry kitchen operations, including preparation schedules and production planning.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in compliance with KSA regulations.
- Control food costs, minimize waste, and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
- Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to support menu development and special events.
- Train and supervise junior pastry staff when required.
- Ensure all equipment and work areas are properly maintained and organized.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Saudi Residency (Iqama) is mandatory.
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with hands‑on experience in the Saudi market.
- Strong understanding of local customer preferences and market trends in KSA.
- Professional training or certification in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in presentation and flavor development.
Portfolio Requirement
- Applicants must provide a professional portfolio showcasing previous pastry and dessert work.
- Portfolio may include high‑quality photos, menus, concept work, or samples of signature products.
- Experience working with cafés, bakeries, restaurants, hotels, or dessert brands in KSA is highly preferred.
