R&D PASTRY CHEF (KOREAN RESTAURANT) - RIYADH, KSA

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced R&D Pastry Chef for one of our clients, a Korean Restaurant in Riyadh. The R&D Pastry Chef will be responsible for developing and refining new pastry recipes and products for the restaurant, considering taste, texture, shelf life, nutritional value, cost, and scalability for production. This position will directly report to the CEO.

Overview

A bit about the role:

  • Create and refine original recipes for pastries and desserts, focusing on new flavor profiles and innovative techniques.
  • Prepare samples for taste tests and sensory panels, analyzing feedback to improve recipes and ensure consistent quality.
  • Stay informed on current dessert trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to guide new product development and menu innovation.
  • Adapt recipes for mass production, ensuring operational feasibility and consistency in a larger manufacturing environment.
  • Consider ingredient costs, nutritional content, and shelf life when formulating new products.
  • Establish product specifications, standard operating procedures, and detailed documentation for recipes and production processes.
  • Ensure new products meet food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards during mass production.
  • Work with marketing teams, chefs, and production staff to bring new pastry products to market.
