Job description

Responsible to provide treatment and care for patients who have been involved in any medical emergencies or other crises.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Responds to any emergency calls immediately.
• Assesses, evaluates, and reports patient condition utilizing approved methodology / triage system.
• Administers appropriate medication following the 10 rights for medication administration and monitors effect.
• Carrys out emergency procedures such as dressing wounds and other necessary measures for any form of injuries.
• Transporting patients to the medical center and continuing to provide treatment while in transit.
• Demonstrates competence in performing Cardio pulmonary Resuscitation.
• Provides necessary information to ER physician related to patient condition and treatment.
• Documents in HIS as indicated by relevant policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

Job Requirements

• Skills and Abilities: Accuracy, Computer Skills, Report writing & drafting Skills, Basic Policies, Procedures & Work Methods Knowledge, Communication Skills, Numerical Skill.
• Experience: Preferred a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s in emergency medical services or a related field.
• Licenses / Certifications: License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority (SCFHS / DHA), BLS, ACLS, and other LSTC courses as applicable.
