Job summary

WETICO is seeking an experienced Painting Supervisor to lead industrial surface preparation and protective coating activities for oil & gas, petrochemical, and water treatment projects in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities include supervising blasting and painting to meet specifications, planning surface prep, coating application, curing, and inspection, and monitoring environmental conditions while ensuring HSE and record-keeping requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of industrial blasting and protective coating experience.
• At least 4 years in a supervisory role within oil & gas or similar heavy industrial environments.
• Diploma or Technical Qualification is required.
• AMPP/NACE Coating Inspector Level 1 preferred (Level 2 is an advantage).

Responsibilities

• Supervise blasting and painting activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Plan and coordinate surface preparation, coating application, curing, and inspection activities.
• Monitor environmental conditions including humidity, dew point, substrate temperature, and ventilation.
• Ensure compliance with coating specifications, WFT/DFT requirements, recoat windows, and repair procedures.
• Verify coating materials, batch numbers, shelf life, and mixing ratios.
• Maintain coating records, batch traceability, and inspection documentation.
• Lead and coach blasting and painting teams while enforcing HSE requirements and safe work practices.
