Role Overview
The Oracle HCM Team Leader is responsible for leading end-to-end Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Human Capital Management implementations, overseeing solution design, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality delivery across all HCM modules. The ideal candidate is a hands-on functional leader with strong leadership, communication, and deep functional expertise in Core HR, Payroll, Self-Service HR, Learning Management, and Recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Conduct detailed requirements-gathering sessions with business users
- Analyze current and future-state HR processes and translate requirements into functional specifications
- Identify gaps and recommend Oracle EBS HCM best-practice solutions
Solution Design & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain high-quality functional documentation, including Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Setup documents, BR100s and MD50s, and future-state process flows
- Lead solution design workshops and obtain stakeholder sign-offs
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the HCM functional team during implementations, upgrades, and support cycles
- Assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure project milestones and timelines are met
- Provide functional leadership across multi-module HCM implementations
Implementation & Functional Expertise
- Deliver and support a minimum of six (6) full-cycle Oracle EBS HCM implementations
- Provide expert-level, hands-on configuration and guidance for Core HR, Oracle Payroll, Self Service HR (SSHR), Oracle Learning Management (OLM), iRecruitment / Recruiting, and Oracle HCM Mobile Applications
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as the primary functional point of contact for HR, IT, and leadership teams
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies effectively
- Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing
- Develop, review, and execute test scripts and scenarios
- Ensure timely resolution of defects and functional issues
Training, Knowledge Transfer & Post-Go-Live Support
- Conduct end-user training sessions and develop user manuals and training materials
- Facilitate effective knowledge transfer to business and support teams
- Provide post-go-live hypercare support, troubleshoot functional issues, and ensure stable HCM operations
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8–12 years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS HCM applications
- Minimum 6 full-cycle Oracle EBS HCM implementations, covering requirements, design, testing, and go-live
- Deep functional expertise in Payroll, Core HR, HR Self Service, Learning Management, and Recruiting
- Strong experience with Oracle HCM mobile applications
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, multi-module HCM projects
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills
- Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with integrations between Oracle HCM and Finance modules, SCM modules, and external or third-party systems
- Experience supporting upgrades, rollouts, and global HCM deployments
