Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking an On-site Field Service Engineer to perform life extension, repair and inspection activities on installed fleets and oversee construction and commissioning of equipment at customer sites. You will work within defined procedures, collaborating with customers and GE teams to ensure service quality.

The role requires engineering judgment, the ability to travel to client sites, and coordination with field service teams to maintain and refurbish products.

Responsibilities

• All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection-related service activities for installed fleets and supervision for construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment, able to be performed at customer site.
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
