Job summary

Confidential Government is seeking a Nursing Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality patient care and manage nursing staff. The role requires 15+ years of nursing experience with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity, and active nursing licensure.

You will oversee operations, develop protocols, drive quality improvement, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering teamwork and staff development in a complex healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of nursing experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Current and valid nursing licensure in the relevant state.
• Advanced knowledge of nursing practices and healthcare regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and JCAHO standards.
• Proven experience in budget management and financial oversight of nursing departments.
• Demonstrated ability to implement quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols.
• Excellent conflict resolution and decision-making skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong background in staff development and mentorship, including training programs for nursing staff.
• Capability to analyze patient care data and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
• Extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary teams in diverse healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care compliant with established protocols and standards.
• Develop and implement comprehensive nursing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and patient safety.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering professional development and growth within the team.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and reducing hospital readmission rates.
• Monitor and manage department budgets, effectively allocating resources to align with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with physician staff and other departments to promote interdisciplinary teamwork and integrated patient care.
