Job summary

Salama Engineering's PED Division seeks qualified NDT Technicians specializing in Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTFI), Penetrant Testing (PT), or Ultrasonic Testing (UT). You will inspect welds, vessels, and fabricated parts to ensure ASME and project spec compliance, and maintain strict documentation.

Qualifications include NDT certs (RTFI, PT II, UT II), 2–5 years in fabrication environments, and ability to read drawings and prepare reports while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of NDT inspection experience in heavy fabrication, vessels, or exchangers.
• NDT certifications in RTFI, PT Level II, or UT Level II (PCN or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of ASME Section V and relevant standards.
• Ability to read technical drawings and produce inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections using RTFI, PT, or UT on welds and pressure components.
• Identify and report surface and subsurface defects per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with ASME codes and project specs.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain testing records.
• Verify calibration of inspection equipment and proper tool use.
• Coordinate with QC Inspectors and fabrication teams to resolve findings.
• Follow NDT procedures and workplace safety requirements.
• Ensure inspections meet project timelines and customer requirements.
