Modernization Delivery Practice Manager, AWS Professional Services Public Sector

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join our Modernization Professional Services Shared Delivery Team. The role focuses on building and managing a high‑performing team of Delivery Consultants and Engagement Managers, leading transformative cloud modernization projects for large enterprise customers, and partnering with AWS and cloud partner ecosystems to deliver innovative, business‑driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and scale a team of Delivery Consultants and Engagement Managers.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Cloud Architects, and Delivery Consultants to design, scope, and deliver customer engagements.
• Develop and oversee implementation of forward‑looking IT strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes for customers.
• Manage the practice P&L, ensuring on‑time and within‑budget delivery of engagements while maximizing utilization and profitability.
• Drive business development initiatives, including opportunity capture, proposal development, and client relationship management at the C‑suite level.
• Maintain strong customer satisfaction and exceed engagement‑level Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT consulting/management experience with a focus on IT transformation in customer‑facing roles.
• Direct people‑management experience leading a team of consultants.
• Proven track record of managing high‑volume engagement pipelines and achieving client expectations at the C‑suite level.
• 3+ years of program or engagement management experience leading multiple concurrent projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on‑premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP).
• Experience designing modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services.
• AWS Associate‑level certification or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
