1. Job Purpose:

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of all burners in the MHF (Multi-Hearth Furnace) plant, ensuring optimal operational performance and safety.

2. Justifications:

• 2.1 Daily cleaning of MHF burners as per operational requirements.
• 2.2 Support mechanical department with routine tasks and preventive maintenance.

3. Scope of Work:

• 3.1 Clean and maintain burners in the MHF furnace.
• 3.2 Maximize the reliability and availability of mechanical equipment.
• 3.3 Perform routine maintenance on rotating equipment:
• Visual inspection for leaks
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment
• Replace gaskets, seals, bearings
• Use precision tools (micrometers, laser alignment, gauges)
• 3.4 Conduct preventive maintenance including:
• Oil changes
• Strainer/filter cleaning
• Equipment overhauls and test runs
• 3.5 Support shutdowns and major equipment turnarounds, including testing and complete overhauls.
• 3.6 Participate in equipment inspections for integrity and functionality.
• 3.7 Strict adherence to plant safety policies and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• 3.8 Fabricate, install, and maintain mechanical systems and perform both preventive and predictive maintenance on facility equipment.

4. General Requirements:
