Job summary

El Seif Operation and Maintenance seeks an experienced Saudi Mechanical Engineer with a strong HVAC background to support operation, maintenance, and technical performance of mechanical systems across projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of hands-on HVAC operations, troubleshooting, preventive/corrective maintenance, and supervisory experience. Experience in Facilities Management is a plus and Saudi Council of Engineers registration may be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Job Summary

ESOM is seeking an experienced Saudi Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems to support the operation, maintenance, and technical performance of mechanical systems across our projects.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience, with substantial hands-on exposure to HVAC operations, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and technical supervision.

Experience in Facilities Management (FM) is considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of HVAC and associated mechanical systems.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, pumps, and related mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose complex HVAC faults, identify root causes, and implement sustainable technical solutions.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance with technical specifications.
• Supervise mechanical technicians, maintenance teams, and external contractors to ensure efficient execution of maintenance activities.
• Conduct technical inspections, condition assessments, and equipment performance evaluations.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, maintenance procedures, and equipment documentation.
• Support mechanical systems beyond HVAC, including pumping stations, piping networks, water treatment systems, and related utilities.
• Coordinate with project management, clients, vendors, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE requirements, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, technical documentation, and equipment performance reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance costs.

Minimum Requirements (Must Have)

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• HVAC Expertise: Strong practical and technical knowledge of HVAC systems, particularly maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations.
• Demonstrated experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC and mechanical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Ability to supervise technical teams and coordinate engineering maintenance activities.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Facilities Management (FM), particularly large-scale commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities.
• Relevant professional certifications or technical qualifications issued by recognized European or North American institutions or professional bodies.
• Familiarity with chilled water systems, HVAC controls, BMS integration, and energy optimization.
• Knowledge of CMMS, maintenance KPIs, and asset performance monitoring.
• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration, as applicable.
