Job description
Materials Inspector

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Materials Inspector to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This opportunity lies within our Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in working on Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments.

As a Materials Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting daily materials inspections, verifying compliance with approved specifications, reviewing test results, monitoring materials delivery and storage, and ensuring that all onsite materials meet the project’s technical requirements. You will work closely with discipline engineers, QA/QC teams, and contractors to ensure timely and accurate verification of all materials used on site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct daily inspection of materials delivered to site to ensure compliance with approved submittals, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Verify material certifications, test results, and compliance documents for all materials prior to approval and usage.
  • Monitor materials storage, handling, and protection measures to ensure conformance with standards.
  • Coordinate with the Contractor, QA/QC teams, and discipline engineers regarding any discrepancies or material non‑conformities.
  • Assist in the review of materials-related submittals and test reports.
  • Ensure that rejected or non‑compliant materials are removed from site as per quality procedures.
  • Maintain inspection logs, reports, and documentation for all materials inspected.
  • Participate in site meetings related to materials acceptance and quality matters.
  • Support the implementation of project quality management systems within the materials domain.
  • Collaborate with the supervision team to ensure proper traceability and testing compliance for all materials used.
ABOUT YOU
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Applicable Experience: over 7 years in project management, particularly in mega construction projects, with a focus on onsite landscaping.
  • Understanding of construction, design and engineering principles.
  • Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency level of English language. Arabic Language is a plus.
  • Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
  • Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.
Additional requirements:
  • Transferable Iqama in case of non‑Saudi.
  • Based in Riyadh.
  • Valid SCE membership.
