Job summary

Red Sea Coastal Trading Company, a Red Sea Global subsidiary, is seeking a Freight Forwarder to coordinate movement of goods across our regional supply chain. The role covers booking, documentation, customs, and last-mile logistics to support our regenerative tourism projects.

You will liaise with clients, carriers, and suppliers; arrange transportation; ensure regulatory compliance; monitor shipments; and drive continuous improvement with a focus on efficiency, safety, and service quality.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree in Data Science, Analytics or Data Management.
• MBA preferred.
• Minimum 9 years in a supply chain and logistics operations field.
• Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment processes including booking, documentation, and customs clearance.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, and carriers for timely delivery.
• Arrange transportation and logistics services (truck, ship, air) to meet shipment needs.
• Prepare and process shipping and export/import documents.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs.
• Track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Optimize routes and methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline operations.

Position Overview:

A Freight Forwarder a crucial role in the transportation and logistics industry. They are responsible for coordinating the movement of goods from one location to another, ensuring that shipments are delivered efficiently and securely. Freight Forwarders work closely with clients, carriers, and other logistics professionals to ensure that shipments are handled smoothly throughout the entire supply chain process.

Supply Chain and Logistics

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of the shipment process, including booking, documentation, and customs clearance.
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and carriers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
• Arrange transportation and logistics services, such as trucking, shipping, and air freight, to meet the specific needs of each shipment.
• Prepare and process necessary shipping and customs documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export/import documentation.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Optimize shipping routes and methods to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the freight forwarding process.
• Collaborate with other members of the logistics team to streamline operations and improve overall supply chain performance.

Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports

• Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

• Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
