Job summary

Apparel Group is seeking a skilled carpentry maintenance technician to perform installation, repair, and replacement of doors, partitions, shelving, cabinetry, and other wood fixtures. You will handle basic painting, tiling, and surface prep while ensuring safety standards and project timelines.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, coordinating with project teams, and promptly addressing urgent repairs. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of proven carpentry experience in commercial, retail, or facility maintenance environments.
• Proficiency with carpentry tools: saws, drills, chisels, and measuring instruments.
• Strong knowledge of wooden fixture installation, finishing techniques and safety protocols.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry maintenance tasks including installation, repair, and replacement of doors, partitions, shelving and cabinetry.
• Carry out painting and wall preparation: priming, patching and finish coating as required.
• Tile installation and repair, ensuring alignment, leveling and safety standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and blueprints accurately.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance staff to support projects.
• Respond promptly to urgent repair calls and resolve related issues efficiently.
• Source or request required materials in advance to avoid delays.
• Maintain records of materials used and completed work for reporting.
