Responsibilities

• Set up filament winding machines and extruders as per production plan.
• Operate the creel, mix resin, fix glass breaks, and prepare mandrels.
• Perform online quality checks and record.

Job Description

• Experience working with epoxy resin and different curing system.
• Knowledge and skill for RTP filament winding process
• Knowledge to read and understand process recipes and parameters.
• Set up filament winding machines and extruders as per production plan and Runsheet.
• Savvy of different raw materials and chemicals used in RTR, RTP and extrusion process.
• Resin mixing, Reactivity and DSC to confirm desired ratio and proper mix.
• Process controls to achieve quality product. Performs online quality checks and record.
• Operate the creel, mix resin, fix glass breaks, remove cured pipe and prepare mandrels to produce fiberglass pipe.
• Ability to use all related measuring and monitoring tools and equipment.
• Periodically check and record machine operating parameters.
• Check product for visual imperfections and functional defects.
• Alert Team Leader incase outside acceptable limits.
• Prepare machine progress reports.
• Train and supervise trainee operators to develop their operating skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Team Leader and/or Shift Supervisor.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
